Garfield Symphony Orchestra takes first!

The Garfield Symphony Orchestra took first place in the Competitive Large-School String Orchestras category at the 2026 W-ASTA/WWU Orchestra Festival in Bellingham, March 13–15, 2026. Congratulations to Mr. Sundt and all of the Garfield symphony strings on this achievement! Check out a video from their performance here.

Other than the competition, other trip highlights included hanging out at the hotel, the group dinner at Wonderful Buffet, and some intense competition at 20th Century Bowl Saturday night.
