Symphony Orchestra Performs at PLU

By Alix Wandesforde-Smith, FOGM President

On October 30, Garfield’s Symphony Orchestra participated in the 29th Annual PLU Invitational Orchestra Festival. The students spent the morning listening to other ensembles, and the Pacific Lutheran University Symphony Orchestra took the stage before the midday break. In the afternoon, Garfield’s Symphony Orchestra performed Two Elegiac Melodies, op. 34 by Edvard Grieg and Serenade for Strings in E-flat Major, op. 6 by Josef Suk. After the performance, the Symphony Orchestra received feedback from guest clinician Hsing-Hui Hsu.
